Hollis M1 Mask Explained
To start with, let's talk about how this mask is nicely finished and in line with the expected quality from Hollis. Secondly, the Silicon skirts and frameless design results in a very good and comfortable fit and contact with the face. The adjustment buckles are seated into the flex of the silicone mask since it is frameless meaning that they not only adjust smoothly with no slip in control increments but also fold flat if you are using this as a potential backup redundant mask in your pocket. This M1 mask from Hollis has a nice low volume despite offering an insanely wide field of view. Coming from extremely low profile masks, I'm not one to simply boast of its wide feature so I can see more per se; no one who understands how distance from the eyes field of view works knows it’s neither here nor there which one gives you a wider peripheral view. This is what I can tell you from my experience, the Hollis M1 mask has been my primary choice of mask for a number of years and when I do dive my other masks, I do notice a difference in my field of view. Whether this is simply down to the comfort of wearing the same mask constantly and then switching mask style, which in itself will obviously cause a shift in peripheral view; or its wider field of view and CLEARER GLASS really do make all the difference. Clearer glass?! Yes, you read that correctly, read on and ill explain.
