Its really quite a simple answer... anything you like! The aim here is to come togeather and unite under a love and passion for something so importent yet so often lost in the wash of daily life. The Oceans are not only beauiful but also essential to our exsistance. So why not take a hour or more and try one of this suggestions below:
Let's Talk Oceans... Lets Go!!!
The potentials here are limitless, but lets make it super easy. If you want some ideas you can visit worldoceanday.org. here you will find many ideas to to resources and download to inspire. Activities
- Take an hour with the family to talk oceans, get your kids on the World Ocean Day social media and share some fun underwater facts with frineds
- Clean a local beach or water way. You dont have to look far anywhere to find garbage, even if you dont live near a beach a clean up is benifitial to the oceans as one way or another our garage ends up pollluting the oceans eventually somewhere down that long cycle.
- Hold an Event. It may be a local school, your workplace or community. Invite people to learn something new about oceans, all knowledge helps future generations
- Not everyone has time to organise their own events, so why not checkout the The Event Calender and see if there is something going on in your area where you can meet up and enjoy with like minded ocean lovers
So What is UnderwaterClicks Doing for World-Ocean-Day?
We're glad you asked! We are running a week of promotions to encourage scuba divers to get out and get underwater. We will be offering free coral watch eduction dive briefs, promoting responsible dive habits and encouraging all out at sea to pick up 3 at least and collect any garbage or trash from on or under the sea. ok, ok this isnt so special, it basically what we do all the time LOL but none the less it just as importent a message no matter what day or event it is!We are also collaborating with digital artist GenX @Paras NFT market place To celebrate the World’s Environment Day and World’s Oceans Day, as they are hosting a cometition with the drawing brief that states:
Imagine what the oceans will look like in 50 years. Why should we be more concerned about marine ecosystems and the environment?
The NFTs will tell a story of a distopian future where humanity has only a last hope for survial after allowing the ocean eco systems to collapse. As dramitic a tale as this sounds, it all in a positive light to raise awareness as we believe education is the key the changing our future perceptions. So here on Underwater clicks we will publish an article each month that tells the story of one of the NFTs, each featuring a different aquatic animal or oceananic creature of some kind. Donations will also be collected from the NFT sales which we will have the job of disturbuting in due course. (If you have a worth charity to suggest who focuses on Ocean Education or protecting marine species. Please send it hello@Underwaterclicks.com.)
